session details, tips
and faqs
Now that your session date is confirmed (YAY!), you should start planning for it right now! This means you decide on a desired color scheme and plan coordinated outfits. When your outfits color coordinate, your photos will feel more cohesive.
Session day can be stressful and exciting, but I promise there is nothing to be nervous about! All I ask is that you come prepared, stay open-minded, and trust that I will take care of the rest!
Once I have finalized your images, I will upload them into my online gallery portal. You will then be provided your own photo gallery link. Together, we will select your favorites and place your order for keepsake print products and digital downloads.
Photos weren't meant to be stored on your device. They should be admired in your home and bring warmth into your life. Your one-of-a-kind album will be perfectly crafted to showcase your photos and protect your memories.

trust me as your expert photographer
relax, have fun, and just be you
Yay! You’ve made it to session day. To start, we will huddle up and do an overview of what to expect (including trail etiquette). I want you to keep these 2 things in mind:
03.
As a mom of littles, I understand. My sessions are child-led. Come prepared with snacks and water and whatever else your child needs to help them self-regulate as they get tired. I start my sessions with the kids. While they snack, I will photograph the couple. Shooting at ‘golden hour’ gives me the creative space to capture your family for which you hired me. :)
06. I have young kids and they go to bed early. Can we shoot at a different time besides ‘golden hour’?
My weekends are spent with my family. To avoid crowds and create a more meaningful experience, sessions take place during the week.
05. Do you shoot on weekends?
Our sessions are carefully planned for your immediate family. If mom or grandma want to join you for moral support or help entertain the kids while we photograph you as a couple, sure! Please, advise your support team that personal cameras/videos including phones are not permitted to be in use during the session.
04. Can I bring additional family members to the session?
For current information on: Washington State Parks Discover Pass, visit here. National Park Passes, visit here. National Forest Service Passes, visit here.
03. How do I get a state/national park pass if needed?
Sure. Email me and I’ll send over some referrals.
02. Can you recommend anyone for hair and makeup?
Depends on the type of session. If we did not talk about this prior to booking your session, please email me to discuss further.
01. Are outfit changes allowed?
Have a question? I've got an answer! And if you don't see your question here, please reach out via email: hello@roxannemutzphotography.com.
